CHINA

Souraja performed for 'Shiv-Yin', a production where Chinese Contemporary Dance met Indian Classical Dance. It explored the concept of the male and female through two distinct cultures. The production toured China and was organized by the Sriram Centre, New Delhi, and the Beijing Dance Academy. The music for Shiv-Yin was by Bickram Ghosh and artistic direction by Rukmini Chatterjee and Teng Aimin.


GERMANY

Souraja was invited to perform in Germany under the aegis of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), the D.I.G (Deutsch-Indische Gesellschaft) and The Tagore Society Berlin. She performed in cities such as Aachen, Wuppertal, Kassel, Munster, Heidelberg, Nurnberg, Freiburg and Karlsruhe. She was accompanied by her guru-brother , Milan Adhikary.

FRANCE

Souraja collaborated with Rukmini Chatterjee for her production Rencontre/Meetings, a coming together of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, European ballet, North/South Indian classical music, and European classical music.Souraja was invited to perform in France, which included performances at:Maison des métallos (Paris),Théâtre Paul Eluardle , Prisne (Saint-Quentin en Yvelines), Le Carré (Château-Gontier), Centre culturel Aragon (Orly), Théâtre du Nickel (Rambouillet), Centre culturel Boris Vian (Les Ulis), Le Centre Culturel des Portes de l’Essonne (Athis-Mons).The performances in France received great admiration from a cosmopolitan audience and also received extremely encouraging media appreciation.


NORWAY

Souraja collaborated with Rukmini Chatterjee for her production Rencontre/Meetings, a coming together of Bharatanatyam, Kathak, European ballet, North/South Indian classical music, and European classical music. It is a dialogue between great artistic traditions of two cultures: European and Indian. This performance has since traveled to Norway at the Norwegian Opera, Oslo, India and Italy and continues to tour.
